New Electric Limo!

The electric automobile industry has been booming in the past couple of years and now has begun to reach the limousine business.  A few elite limousine companies have begun to invest in electric limos.

The electric limo is unlike a typical hybrid vehicle, which use gasoline as fuel matched with a battery and motor to run more efficiently. However, an electric car is solely powered by electricity. Research shows that gasoline powered vehicles only harm the environment and this concern has reached limousine companies.

The electric limo is a spin off of a regular electric car. The limo is of a Nissan Leaf electric sedan, but reinvented. It has been extended to be turned into a limousine. The frame has been broadened to create room to hold more people. The benefits of an electric limo are clear; the concern now is time. With an average limo driving six hours a day, vastly more on the weekends, the time to charge the car may become a hassle when reservations are booked all day. The Nissan Leaf electric car has a 12-volt battery charger, which can recharge the vehicle within 30 minutes.

Chicago Limo Services have already become interested in electric cars. Many big cities in the U.S. have gas consumption rules in order to stay legal on the road. The average miles range is one hundred on the battery life. In the near future, electric car companies foresee an increase in the hundred-mile range with new technology emerging.

Companies such as Elite Chicago Limo have begun looking into the charging procedures and the charge station locations.  An another added benefit is the initial tax savings that not only limo companies may receive, but all electric cars. Most states give an average of $10,000 sales tax credit over the lifetime of the electric car.

Will the future hold all electric cars on the highway with charging stations at every exit? Who knows how many limousine companies, or even taxi companies, will jump on this new trend. One thing is for certain, the benefits are clear and people are excited about this emerging technology on the roads.

Chicago Outing Ideas

As the economic recovery is making way in the United States and businesses make their move to metropolitan areas like Chicago, more people are looking for ways to engage with their coworkers and employers to boost their work effort.  In Chicago, finding something to do is not as easy as it may sound. The city is huge and there are certainly many attractions, but people have many different wants and pleasing a group of people is never easy.

So for starters, when it comes to choosing a Chicago event, you must first decide on transportation. With the Chicago limousine prices being ever cheaper, there is absolutely no reason why you should not transport your group of friends and coworkers from one location to the next in style.  Also, with the selection of limousines that is available today, you may simply be overwhelmed by the amount of choices that you have, so you must decide if you want corporate, casual, or a party environment in your limousine.  Of course, most Chicago firms will choose either a casual or a
party Chicago limo, but the point is that there are options.

Once you have your
Chicago limo service booked, you must find a venue for your outing.  Most Chicago firms choose separation locations for their food and attractions, mainly because Chicago offers so many great restaurant locations to choose from.  Between steak houses, sushi bars, Chicago style buffets, and specialty restaurants, there are more than a few high standard restaurant locations. Thus, you could just leave the option to your employees who could simply vote on a list of a few Chicago restaurants.

When it comes to Chicago company outings, attractions are always the most difficult to pick.
The good news is, most venues and locations offer more than a single attraction, so it is much easier to appease a big group of people.  The options that you have are:

  1. Outdoor games like Paintball, Archery Lessons, Shooting Range, Laser Tag
  2. Chicago discovery flight (lots of options here, but truly phenomenal reviews from our clientele)
  3. Sporting events (Chicago Cubs, White Sox, Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, Fire, Wolves, are all great!)
  4. Bar Crawling (the idea is to pick a few bars, and have your Chicago Limo take you to all of them by the end of the night!)
  5. Dave and Busters
  6. Navy Pier  - everyone finding something to enjoy is a guarantee
  7. Chicago Odyssey cruise (just like in “the Office”, a guaranteed blast)
  8. Bowling
  9. Whirly Ball – Google it, a very popular game among businesses

Of course, it all comes down to the needs and wants of your party and your budget. But with the number of permutations available, you are guaranteed to make an economical and fun choice.  As long you have a great group of people, reliable
Chicago Limousine Service, and a good attitude, you should have a blast!

Chicago Limo: 3 Cars from Frankfurt Auto Show - Day One

The International Automobile Exhibition, also known as the Frankfurt Motor Show is one of the largest motor shows in the world. It is held biennially (every other year) in Frankfurt, Germany. The 2011 show is held from September 15 to September 25.

If you had a chance to participate in the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show yourself, you're pretty lucky. Otherwise, you can check out 3 interesting cars from the day one, which Elite Chicago Limo hand picked for you.

A Concept Ford Fiesta ST
Ford has build a concept of the Ford Fiesta under the ST line. The production date is still unknown, but the new concept will sport a 180-hp engine. Whoa, we are stunned here at Chicago Limo Service.

This new Fiesta will be able to develop 60 mph in just under seven secs. Also, the newly redesigned Fiesta will use a six speed manual from the 1.6-liter engine to the front wheels.

Kia Gt concept
Kia has unveiled its new GT, first Euro - Style car. Just as for every Asian manufacturer, it is considered a big step - so it is for Kia. New concept is simply called GT and debuted on the day one of the Frankfurt auto show.

46 years ago, Toyota shower its firs GT model - now it's Kias time. Unlike Toyota, Kia is not a production car, though it has many attributes a buyer would like: suicide doors, and cameras for rear view mirrors, and a 3.3-liter turbo engine.

The new Porsche 911

The 997 is officially over after 7 years. The new Porsche - the Porsche 911 - is very similar to the 911 over past 48 years. It is just a little bit better in every aspect.

The Porsche 911 appeared in the Frankfurt auto Show to replace the 997. It is 100 pounds lighters, has a top speed of 180 mph. However, it is not easy to tell 911 from 997. The body works is different just in Astonesque rear lights. But that's just how Porsche is.

So Frankfurt Auto Show day one brought new trends to the automobile world. For further updates, keep following Chicago wedding limo blog.
